Straightforward expectations
These terms explain the responsibilities that come with creating an account and using Happy Mail Tools.

These Terms of Use apply when you access or use Happy Mail Tools. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy & Safety notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Happy Mail Tools is a private organizational service for keeping contact details, birthdays, preferences, groups, notes, and records of mail sent, expected, or received.
Happy Mail Tools is not a public directory, social network, participant-matching service, mailing service, background-check service, or emergency communication service. We do not verify your contacts or the people with whom you exchange mail.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you have not reached the age of legal adulthood where you live, you may use the service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. The service is not directed to children under 13.
Provide accurate account information, maintain access to your account email, choose a strong and unique password, and keep your sign-in information private. You are responsible for activity performed through your account unless you promptly report unauthorized access.
Notify us at security@happymailtools.com if you believe your account or information has been compromised.
You keep ownership of the information you enter. You give Happy Mail Tools permission to host, process, display, back up, and transmit that information only as reasonably necessary to operate, protect, maintain, and improve the service.
You are responsible for having an appropriate personal or legal reason to keep information about another person. Store only information that is relevant to your Happy Mail activities, respect requests to correct or remove information, and do not enter unnecessary sensitive information.
Use Happy Mail Tools only for lawful personal organization and related Happy Mail activities. You may not use the service to harass, threaten, stalk, exploit, impersonate, defraud, or harm anyone; send unlawful or unwanted mail; collect information without an appropriate reason; publish another person's private information; upload malicious code; interfere with security or availability; access another account; scrape or resell the service or its data; or violate another person's rights.
You are responsible for the mail you send and for following the rules of any Happy Mail group in which you participate.
You may download a complete account-data export in JSON format and separately download your contacts in CSV format. Keep your own backup of information that is important to you.
We work to preserve service data, but we cannot promise that stored information will never be lost, corrupted, delayed, or unavailable.
Happy Mail Tools is currently offered without a required subscription fee. We may later offer optional paid features or services, but we will explain any price and obtain your agreement before charging you.
We may offer a voluntary way to tip or support Happy Mail Tools. A tip does not purchase additional features, preferential treatment, or ownership in the service. Tips are not charitable contributions and are not tax-deductible. Payments may be processed by a third-party provider under that provider's terms and privacy policy.
Happy Mail Tools may rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, data storage, email, domain services, security, newsletters, payments, or other operational functions. Those services may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
Happy Mail Tools does not control and is not responsible for third-party websites, content, products, or services. Categories of providers currently in use and material changes are described in the Privacy & Safety notice.
We may maintain, update, add, remove, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary. We may also limit or suspend access to protect users, comply with law, address security or technical problems, or enforce these terms. We will try to provide reasonable notice when a significant planned change affects your saved information, but uninterrupted or error-free availability is not guaranteed.
You may stop using the service at any time. You may also permanently delete your account and the Happy Mail Tools information owned by it. Account deletion cannot be undone, so download any information you want to keep before deleting your account.
We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, creates risk or harm, threatens the service, or must be restricted for legal or security reasons. Some limited information may be retained when reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or backup restoration.
Happy Mail Tools, including its name, design, software, text, and original materials, is owned by its operator or licensed to the operator and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms allow you to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of the service or permit you to copy, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit it except where the law does not allow that restriction.
To the extent permitted by law, Happy Mail Tools is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or that the service will meet every user's needs. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, Happy Mail Tools and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, opportunities, goodwill, or profits arising from use of or inability to use the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.
We may update these terms as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date will be revised when changes are published. If a change materially affects your rights or responsibilities, we will provide additional notice when appropriate. Continuing to use the service after updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
